Tea House is Azerbaijan’s traditional tea house and is mainly a public place that serves local tea. Here, people gather to unwind from the fatigue of daily life and to socialize. Tea Houses are considered convenient for building relationships both with friends and with strangers. Although tea is the main beverage here, simple snacks are also served. In many Tea Houses, there are opportunities to play checkers and backgammon. In Azerbaijan, Tea Houses are regarded as an important part of cultural life.
