40-room fortress is a historical defensive structure located in the city of Shaki, Azerbaijan. This fortress was built in the 15th century and was mainly used to defend the city. It is known by this name because there are 40 rooms inside the fortress walls. This fortress, which is historically significant, is open to tourists and guided tours are held. The fortress area is important for both architecture and medieval urban defense systems. Ancient architectural styles and stone constructions have been preserved here.
