Agdam is a village located in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan. The village was once the administrative center of the district and its population was mainly engaged in agriculture. In 1993, it was occupied by Armenian armed forces and its residents became internally displaced persons. In 2020, the Azerbaijani Army regained most of the Agdam district and reconstruction work is underway there. Agdam also holds historical and cultural significance, with many historical monuments located in the area. Currently, the village is being restored and infrastructure for living is being renewed.
