Agdam State Drama Theatre is among the professional theatres operating in Azerbaijan. The theatre was established in 1930 and is considered the first state drama theatre in the region. Performances of various genres are staged here, with special attention given to national dramaturgy. Due to the war, the theatre operated in another city for a period of time. Agdam State Drama Theatre plays an important role in the cultural life of Azerbaijan and supports the development of young actors. They present both classic and contemporary works to audiences.
