Hasan Aliyev Zangezur National Park (42,797.4 ha) covers an area of more than 42,797 hectares. The park was established in Nakhchivan in 2003 and is one of the largest national parks in Azerbaijan. Mountain, forest, river, and meadow ecosystems are preserved here. It is known for its rich fauna and flora, and rare animal and plant species inhabit it. The main goal of the national park is the preservation of nature and the development of ecotourism. There are special tourist routes in the park for walking and observation.
