Mother’s Cry Monument was erected in memory of the mothers and, in general, civilians who died in the Karabakh conflict. The monument is located in Baku’s Khatai district, in the “Martyrs’ Alley,” and was established in 1993. Its architect is Elbay Gasimzade, and the sculptor is Huseynqulu Aliyev. The monument symbolizes a mother's lament and the loss of children through the figure of a mother. The Monument and Sculptures company is engaged in the design and construction of such memorial monuments.
