Arazboyu State Nature Reserve (9,118 ha) is a state-owned reserve located on an area of 9,118 hectares. This reserve was established along the Aras River in the south of Azerbaijan. Its main purpose is to protect local animal and plant species and to provide conditions for their survival. Rare and endangered species are given special protection here. The reserve is also important for the scientific study of nature and for maintaining ecological balance. It is considered a temporary reserve and is not intended for industrial or commercial activities.
