Arpachay Reservoir was built on the Arpachay River between Azerbaijan and Turkey. This reservoir was put into operation in 1983, and its main purpose is irrigation and energy supply. Arpachay Reservoir is widely used in agriculture and meets the water needs of surrounding areas. The reservoir also helps prevent floods and has ecological significance. This facility is a technical structure classified under the category of “Hydrological Monuments.”
