Center for Sustainability
• Established to promote sustainable development in environmental, social, and economic spheres.
• Works on reducing the university’s carbon footprint, efficient resource use, and promoting ethics in education and research.
• Engages students, faculty, and partners — including other universities, government institutions, and businesses — in joint initiatives, training, and sustainability-focused projects.

Social Work Program and Government Partnerships
• UNEC’s Faculty of Social Work trains professionals to support vulnerable groups (low-income families, children, the elderly).
• On December 28, 2023, UNEC signed a memorandum with the Social Services Agency under the Ministry of Labor to formalize cooperation in training and research in social protection.

Educational, Research, and Community Activities
• UNEC integrates sustainability, inclusion, and social support themes across academic curricula and research.
• Activities include public forums, workshops, and training on social protection, ecology, and sustainable development.

On July 14, 2025, UNEC and Coca-Cola Azerbaijan signed a memorandum of cooperation:
• The goal is to equip students with practical skills and experience.
• The partnership includes masterclasses by Coca-Cola experts, internship programs, and joint educational projects.

On June 19, 2025, Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) celebrated its 95th anniversary.
Participants honored the memory of Heydar Aliyev before the ceremony.
Rector Adalat Muradov delivered a speech highlighting achievements over the past decade:
• Launch of the Digital University model
• Joint AI integration projects with international experts
• Advancement in the QS World University Rankings (ranked 801–850 globally)
