  • AZERTAC (Azerbaijan State News Agency) is the official news agency of Azerbaijan. It delivers news in Azerbaijani, Russian, English, French, German, Spanish, Arabic, and Chinese.

    History: 

    Founded on March 1, 1920, by the government of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic.
     During the Soviet era, it operated under various names. After 1991, it was restored. From 1995 to 2000, it was known as the “State Telegraph Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers.” Since 2015, it has been officially named AZERTAC.

  • Cooperates with TASS, Xinhua, Anatolia, and agencies from about 20 countries
    Member of OANA since 2004; chaired it from 2016 to 2019; also a member of EANA
    July 8, 2025 — Conference at the Heydar Aliyev Center about Heydar Aliyev’s role in media development, organized by AZERTAC
    May 5, 2025 — Interview of President Aliyev with Vietnamese agency, distributed by AZERTAC
