  • Baku Slavic University (BSU) — a state higher education institution in Baku, specializing in the teaching of Slavic and Germanic languages, as well as training professionals in international relations, linguistics, diplomacy, culture, and regional studies.
    History:
    Founded in 1946 on the basis of the pedagogical institute for teachers of Russian language and literature in the USSR.
    Since 2000, it has operated under the name Baku Slavic University, receiving a new status and mission in training specialists for Eastern and Southern European countries.

  • BSU actively develops international partnerships: exchange programs have been signed with universities in Russia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Greece, Germany, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, and Turkey.

    In the 2023–2024 academic year, the university published a Comprehensive Report reflecting BSU’s contribution to sustainable development and academic progress within the framework of the SDGs.
