Balakan District Hygiene and Epidemiology Center is a state service subordinate to the Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan. This center is engaged in organizing sanitary-hygienic and epidemiological control within the district. Its main task is the prevention of infectious diseases and the protection of public health. The service inspects the hygienic condition of water, food, air, and the environment in public places. At the same time, it carries out public awareness and health protection activities among the population.
