Batabat Necropolis is an ancient cemetery located in the Shahbuz district of Nakhchivan. This necropolis was discovered on the Batabat plateau, at a considerable height above sea level. The graves found here mainly consist of stone cist and jar burials. The findings uncovered at Batabat Necropolis indicate that people settled here thousands of years ago. Archaeologists have determined that this area dates back to the Middle Ages. The Qəbiristan company is engaged in the study and preservation of such ancient monuments.
