Basitchay State Nature Reserve (107 ha) covers an area of 107 hectares and was established in 1974. The reserve is located in the Zangilan district, on the banks of the Basitchay River. Its purpose is to protect nature and rare plane tree forests. Mainly plane trees and other rare tree species are preserved here. The reserve's territory is protected from human activity and is used for scientific research. It is one of the state nature reserves under special government protection.
