Javanshir Fortress (Ismayilli) is an ancient defensive structure located in the Ismayilli district. This fortress was built in the 8th century by the Albanian ruler Javanshir. Since the fortress was constructed on steep rocks, it is considered advantageous from a defensive perspective. Although part of its territory has been destroyed, some sections have been preserved to this day. Javanshir Fortress (Ismayilli) was mainly used for defense during the Middle Ages. The fortress is an interesting monument for history enthusiasts and tourists.
