Javanshir Palace is a historical defensive structure located in the Qakh district. This fortress was built in the Middle Ages and belonged to the Shaki-Javanshir rule. The palace is a fortress-type building and was mainly used for defensive purposes. Javanshir Palace is constructed of stone, with thick walls and an observation tower. Today, the palace is an interesting place for tourists and history enthusiasts. It is considered one of the most important historical monuments of Azerbaijan.
