Teahouse is a traditional place in Azerbaijan where people gather to drink tea and chat. Tea houses usually consist of simple seating and tables. Here, tea, sugar, and some light snacks are served. Teahouses are mainly places where men gather and they are an important part of social life. In most teahouses, board games such as backgammon, checkers, and dominoes are also played. These places operate in both traditional and modern styles.
