Teahouse is known as a traditional Azerbaijani tea house, and mainly tea is served here. People gather here to chat, play dominoes and backgammon. Tea houses operate in many cities and villages across the country and serve as social spaces. Here, tea is served in the typical pear-shaped glass, accompanied by sweets or jam. Although teahouses are generally considered places where men gather, in recent years people of all ages and genders have started to visit them. Sometimes, hookah, television, and light meals are also available at these venues.
