Teahouses are traditional public places in Azerbaijan known as tea houses. Here, people both drink tea and chat with their friends. Teahouses usually have a simple, cozy atmosphere and mainly serve as gathering places for men. Classic Azerbaijani tea is brewed in these places, and some interesting traditional sweets are offered. Teahouses are an important part of the culture and daily life, and are widespread in both cities and villages.
