Baku Crystal Hall is a multifunctional indoor arena in Baku, originally built for the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 and since then actively used for international sports and cultural events. It is located on the Flag Square and is architecturally designed in the shape of a crystal with an illuminated faсade.
History:
Construction began in August 2011 and was completed within eight months, by April 2012 — in time for Eurovision.
It was officially inaugurated on May 7, 2012. The first major events — the semifinals and final of Eurovision — were held from May 22 to 26, 2012.Team:
The complex is owned by the Baku City Executive Power and is managed by Baku Crystal Hall LLC (51–200 employees).

Capacity: Up to 12,000 seats in seating mode and up to 27,000 people in standing mode.
Complex area: Approximately 30,958 m², with the arena itself occupying 10,964 m²; the central height reaches up to 24 m.
Facilities: facade with LED panels (over 12,000 lighting points), modern sound and lighting systems, VIP lounges, press center (around 4,100 m²), dedicated media zoneConcerts and Music Festivals - performances by global stars such as Shakira, Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez, Christina Aguilera, Dua Lipa, and more.
Sports Events - volleyball, handball, futsal, boxing tournaments, and international competitions (including European Games and World/European Championships).

Venue Rental - rental of the arena, VIP boxes, conference areas, and technical equipment for private and corporate events.
Ticketing and Event Support - ticket campaign organization, technical and administrative support for events. -
Environmental and Educational Engagement with Youth
In October 2018, the Ministry of Youth and Sports held the Second Youth Exhibition on Environmental Issues at Crystal Hall. More than 200 young participants showcased works in painting, graphic design, music, and other art forms dedicated to ecology. The event also featured competitions, quizzes, sports contests, and exhibitions of rare plants and animals listed in Azerbaijan’s Red Book.
Educational Tours and Social Inclusion
In February 2016, Crystal Hall organized an educational tour for schoolchildren, allowing them to visit the stage, VIP areas, press center, and artists’ rooms. Students also took part in the “Brain Ring” intellectual game. This initiative reflects the venue’s commitment to promoting educational and cultural access for youth.
Youth Unity and Cultural Interaction
Crystal Hall also hosts major youth and cultural events, including festivals, performances supporting Yürüyən Bakı (Running Baku), the Youth Solidarity Festival, and side events of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. These initiatives enhance cultural awareness and support youth involvement in urban life.

The venue hosted an exhibition marking the 100th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev, supported by the Ministry of Economy and SMB Development Agency (KOBIA).
More than 150–200 Azerbaijani companies presented products and services across sectors such as industry, IT, logistics, education, and more.
The event aimed to enhance local brands' access to markets and strengthen business cooperation.
