Culfa is a city located in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The city is situated on the right bank of the Araz River, on the border with Iran. Culfa is also known for its history and heritage. Here, the economy is primarily based on agriculture and trade. The Culfa railway station plays a role in transit transportation from the border area.
