Culfa Cemetery is a large cemetery dating back to ancient times. This site was located in the Culfa district of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Thousands of ancient stone headstones and graves had been found in the cemetery. Culfa Cemetery was especially associated with medieval Albanian Christians. In early 2006, the cemetery was completely destroyed. For this reason, Culfa Cemetery was considered an important part of the world’s heritage.
