Committee for Democracy and Human Rights is a non-governmental organization operating in Azerbaijan in the fields of development of civil society, protection of human rights and freedoms, promotion of democratic values, and legal enlightenment. The committee acts independently in increasing legal awareness in society, monitoring cases of human rights violations, preparing proposals for the improvement of legislation in the relevant field, and applying international standards at the local level.
History: The committee was established to increase the role of civil society institutions in the process of strengthening democratic institutions and forming a culture of human rights. Since its inception, the organization has participated in numerous projects and public initiatives in the field of human rights protection.
Team: Lawyers, human rights experts, public activists, researchers, monitoring groups, and administrative staff.
