Derekend is a village located in the Ordubad district of the Republic of Azerbaijan. This village is mainly engaged in agriculture and animal husbandry. In Derekend, people mostly make a living from fruit growing, vegetable cultivation, and grain farming. The village is also known for its clean air and mountain scenery. Although the population is small, ancient customs and traditions are preserved here. There are no modern companies or industrial enterprises in this village.
