The Department for the Protection of Diplomatic Missions is a specialized body operating within the structure of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, responsible for ensuring the security of the diplomatic corps, consulates, and representations of international organizations accredited in the country. The department carries out agile and professional security measures for the protection of diplomatic mission buildings, staff, and their family members, as well as the fulfillment of obligations arising from international conventions.
History:
The department was formed in parallel with the expansion of independent Azerbaijan's diplomatic relations, and over time, its scope of operations and technical equipment have been aligned with international standards.
Team:
The department consists of special police officers with high physical and tactical training, security analysts, and technical surveillance specialists.

Facility protection: Stationary protection of administrative buildings and residences of diplomatic missions.
Personal protection: Escort and security for high-ranking diplomats and officials.
Security monitoring: Management of technical surveillance systems in protected areas and analysis of security risks.
Emergency response: Immediate operational response to any hazardous situations that may arise. -
