Asgaran Fortress is a historical defensive structure located in the Karabakh region. The fortress was built at the end of the 18th century by Panah Ali Khan, the Khan of Karabakh. Asgaran Fortress was constructed in a mountainous area on an important road and was used to protect the surrounding villages. The building has strong walls, watchtowers, and a strategic observation point. In its time, the fortress played a major role in defending the local population from enemy attacks. Today, Asgaran Fortress is preserved as part of Azerbaijan’s architectural heritage.
