Ganja Fortress is a defensive structure built in the Middle Ages to protect the city of Ganja. The fortress was located in the center of the city and was surrounded by strong walls. Built by the Safavids in 1588, the fortress played an important role in the defense of the city. At one time, it had several entrance gates and watchtowers. Some parts of Ganja Fortress have collapsed over time and have not survived to the present day in their entirety. As a historical monument, it maintains its significance in the history and culture of the city.
