Ganja City Main Police Department is the primary law enforcement agency operating in the administrative territory of Ganja, responsible for maintaining public order, combating crime, ensuring the rule of law, and protecting the safety of citizens. As part of the structure of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), the department covers all districts of Ganja and operates centrally in preventing and investigating offenses.
History: The department was formed considering the socio-economic development and population of Ganja to ensure high-level legality in the region and has been adapted to modern police management standards over time.
Team: Head of the department, deputy chiefs, criminal investigation department, public order department, district commissioners, investigation and inquiry groups, and other administrative-technical staff.
