Madrasah at the Govhar Agha Mosque is a religious educational institution located on the grounds of the mosque. This madrasah primarily teaches students Islamic sciences. The historical madrasah operated together with the Govhar Agha Mosque at the end of the 19th century. The madrasah offered instruction in the Quran, Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh), and other religious subjects. In addition to religious knowledge, reading and writing skills were also taught there. This madrasah was once considered an important place of education for children from Karabakh.
