Goy Gala is an ancient fortress located near the Tovuz district of Azerbaijan. Throughout history, this fortress has played a significant role as a defensive structure. The local population knows it as a strong fortress built in the Middle Ages. Historians have studied archaeological findings discovered at Goy Gala and say that it was built for defense. The stone walls and watchtowers of this fortress have survived to this day. Goy Gala holds an important place in the history of Azerbaijan and is one of the monuments that attracts the interest of tourists.
