The word Goyarchik primarily refers to the bird species known as the pigeon. In the field of agriculture, the animal called “pigeon” plays a significant role. In Azerbaijan, some agricultural companies and family farms are engaged in the breeding of pigeons. Pigeon breeding mainly takes place in rural areas and is carried out both for food and as a hobby. This activity is used as an additional source of income in villages. Pigeons are also kept for racing purposes in some villages.
