Main Customs Department for Air Transport is a key state body within the structure of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan, organizing customs control and clearance carried out through the country's airports. The department ensures compliance with legal requirements during the crossing of the customs border by passengers, goods, and vehicles during international flights, fights against smuggling, and controls the accurate calculation of customs payments.
History: The department was formed in connection with the expansion of the country's civil aviation infrastructure and the increase in international air connections, actively participating in the processes of modernization and digitalization of customs services in line with the requirements of the time.
Team: Department management, inspectors for customs clearance, service staff, technical control groups, and administrative apparatus.

Passenger clearance: Passage of passengers and their personal belongings through customs control at airports.
Cargo transport: Reception and clearance of customs declarations for goods brought in and taken out through international cargo flights.
Security and control: Prevention of the transfer of prohibited goods using special technical means and canine services. -
