Military Police is a special police service body subordinate to the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan. Their main task is to maintain military discipline and ensure security within the army. Preventing violations of rules among military personnel is also part of their duties. The Military Police also controls traffic within the armed forces and protects important facilities. This organization plays a vital role in safeguarding the internal security of the Azerbaijani Army. The Military Police operates only within the armed forces and does not provide services to civilians.
