Heydar Aliyev Reservoir is one of the main reservoirs in Azerbaijan. This hydrological monument is located within the territories of Salyan and Neftchala districts. The reservoir is used for irrigation, drinking water supply, and energy production. Important agricultural and industrial facilities also benefit from this water. The reservoir is situated in the Kura River basin and provides significant support to the region’s agriculture. Heydar Aliyev Reservoir plays an important role in preserving the country’s water resources.
