Kichik Gizilagach State Nature Reserve (10,700 ha) is a specially protected natural area covering 10,700 hectares. The main purpose here is to protect rare plant and animal species. This reserve is located in the Mughan plain and features landscapes such as wetlands, lakes, forests, and meadows. Since the reserve holds a temporary protected status, human activity is restricted. The area is considered an important migration site for waterfowl. Many birds and aquatic animals live in the lake and wetlands.
