Kurmuk River is a river in the northwest of Azerbaijan, flowing through the territory of the Qakh district. This river mainly originates from the Greater Caucasus Mountains and flows into the Alazan-Ayrichay valley. The Kurmuk River is important for the villages in the region due to its water resources and natural features. There are many forests and springs around the river, and its water is used for drinking and agriculture. During the summer season, the river’s water decreases somewhat, but it still remains useful for irrigating agriculture. The river’s clean and cool waters are also suitable for fishing and recreation.
