Lajat Municipality is a local self-government body located in the Khachmaz district of the Republic of Azerbaijan. This municipality is responsible for the administration and development of the village of Lajat. The main task of the municipality is to organize public services in the village and to improve the local areas for the population. As a local executive body, it plays an important role in solving the social issues of residents. Lajat Municipality carries out its powers based on legislation.
