Melioration and Water Management Directorate

The Melioration and Water Management Directorate is engaged in the management of water resources and the construction of irrigation systems in Azerbaijan. This directorate ensures the delivery of necessary water for agriculture. It monitors the protection and use of rivers, lakes, and reservoirs. Through melioration work, it helps maintain land in good condition. Another main task is to prevent soil salinization and desertification. The directorate also supplies water to villages and takes measures against river floods.
