A mosque is a religious building constructed for Muslims to worship. Here, people gather to perform their daily prayers, hold religious ceremonies, and come together as a community. Some mosques have minarets, from which the call to prayer is announced and people are invited to worship. Mosques are located in both cities and villages and can be either small or large. Their main purpose is to provide spiritual support to people and to ensure religious unity. There are many historical and new mosques in Azerbaijan.
