Mosque is a sacred place where Muslims worship. Mosques are locations where daily prayers are performed and religious teachings are held. Minarets are tall towers next to the mosque, and the call to prayer (adhan) is usually recited from there. In Azerbaijan, many mosques and minarets stand out for their historical architecture and religious significance. Mosques play important social and cultural roles for communities in both cities and villages. They are also the main places where people gather during religious holidays and ceremonies.
