A mosque is a religious building where Muslims worship. Mosques and minarets hold an important place as religious and cultural monuments. These structures are not only for performing prayers but also serve as venues for gatherings and events. Mosques usually have one or more minarets, from which the call to prayer is announced. In cities such as Baku, Ganja, and Sheki, there are famous mosques from different periods. Mosques that reflect Azerbaijan’s architectural traditions are of interest to both local and foreign visitors.
