A mosque is a religious building that serves as a place of worship and prayer for people. Mosques are mainly built for Muslims and play an important role in the Islamic faith. Mosques and minarets typically serve both as places of worship and as centers for religious education and upbringing. In mosques, people perform prayers together, hold religious ceremonies, and commemorate significant events. Minarets are tall structures from which the call to prayer is announced and are one of the main symbols of the mosque. In Azerbaijan, there are mosques in many regions and cities with different architectural styles.
