The Mosque is considered a Muslim place of worship. Mosques are used both for worship and for religious education and events. Many mosques also have minarets, from which the call to prayer is made and the congregation is invited to pray. The construction and maintenance of the mosque are carried out by local religious communities. In Azerbaijan, there are many historical and modern mosques in operation. Mosques are typically open during the day, and Muslims can pray there either individually or in groups.
