A Mosque is a religious building where Muslims worship. Mosques are usually located in cities and villages and are used for congregational prayers. Mosques and minarets consist of structures and elements intended for religious purposes. Minarets are located next to mosques and are typically used for the call to prayer (adhan). Mosques are among the important places where the community gathers in Islam. Some mosques in Azerbaijan are also significant from historical and architectural perspectives.
