A Mosque is a special place of worship built for practicing the Islamic faith. In mosques, Muslims perform prayers, make supplications, and hold religious events. Often, there is one or more minarets next to mosques, from which the call to prayer (azan) is announced. There are many ancient and modern mosques in Azerbaijan, some of which are significant in terms of history and architecture. Mosques are considered not only religious but also social centers for the community. Mosques and minarets are not companies; they are structures used for religious and social purposes.
