A mosque is a religious place where Muslims worship. In a mosque, people pray together, hold religious events, and read the Quran. There are often minarets next to mosques; from these minarets, the call to prayer (adhan) is announced to inform the community of prayer times. Mosques are also involved in religious education and charitable activities. They organize various religious education programs and social events.
