A Mosque is known as a place of worship for Allah and is the location where Muslims perform prayers. Mosques usually have minarets, and the call to prayer is made from these minarets. In many cities and villages of Azerbaijan, there are historical mosques dating from various periods. Many mosques, in addition to their religious activities, also host cultural and social events for the community. Mosques and minarets make a significant contribution to the country's architectural heritage and attract great interest from tourists as well.
