A Mosque is a special place built for Muslims to worship. In Mosques, people perform prayers, make supplications, and hold religious events. One of their main features is the minarets, from which the call to prayer is announced. Mosques usually play an important role in the religious and social life of the community. Many Mosques in Azerbaijan are notable for their historical and architectural significance. Some Mosques serve large communities, while others serve small ones.
