A Mosque is a place of worship belonging to the Islamic religion where people perform prayers. The main part of a Mosque is a large hall inside where prayers are held. Mosques often have minarets as well; the call to prayer is announced from the minarets. The Mosque is an important meeting place for religious ceremonies and the community. There are many famous Mosques in Azerbaijan, such as the Taza Pir and Shamakhi Juma Mosques.
