Mosque (20th century) is a place of worship built in various parts of Azerbaijan. These mosques were mainly constructed during the 20th century, primarily in the Soviet era, and have served as an important center for religious communities. Most of the mosques have one or two minarets, usually feature arched windows, and include national architectural details. The main purpose of the building is to provide a place for Muslims to gather and worship. Mosques are venues for both religious and cultural events. During the Soviet era, some mosques were closed, but in later years, some of them resumed their activities.
